Spend your winter holidays in the Pitztal and you will be surprised by the range of exciting and varied activities that are waiting for you on and off the pistes!
The winter in the mountains
The Pitztal and its mountains are a special highlight for all that are crazy about sports and nature. Whether you’re planning an exciting activity holiday or are simply seeking rest and relaxation – the Pitztal has something for everyone. Come here and enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the region.
The Pitztal Glacier, Tyrol’s highest glacier, offers an exciting and varied winter wonderland that invites you to undertake a wide range of activities in the great outdoors. From leisurely days at the slopes to extended ski tours or ice-climbing – anything is possible here.
Skiing holidays deluxe
If you spend your winter holidays in the Pitztal, you are awaited by the fun of your life. The three big ski areas – the Pitztal Glacier, Hochzeiger und Rifflsee – provide you with varied pistes and state-of-the-art lifts. 90% of the pistes are above 2.000 m altitude, which guarantees snow from mid-September to mid-May.
For the small ones the family-friendly skiing area provides a great deal as well: qualified ski instructors, childproof lifts, hiking trails with special themes, a drive in the piste basher, as well as child care at Pitzi’s Kinderpardies.
Off the pistes
Off the pistes the Pitztal shows its wild and exciting side. It’s venue for the Wild Face Free Ride Contest that takes places here every year. Thanks to the wide range of different terrains at the Glacier Free Ride Camp, both beginners and professional free riders find ideal pistes to sharpen their skills. There are also special free ride courses for beginners.
Those who are seeking less exciting holidays can go on an extended ski tour across the unspoilt winter wonderland of the Pitztal mountains. Of course, you can book a tour with an experienced and certified ski instructor or mountain guide. Turn your holidays into an adventure.
Active from A to Z
Cross-country skiing at the cross-country ski runs, tobogganing with the whole family or a romantic ride in a horse-drawn sleigh across the idyllic landscape covered in snow – the possibilities in the Pitztal are sheer boundless. Enjoy a leisurely hike in snowshoes, go ice-skating or try curling – have fun with your beloved ones.
If you want to test your driving skills on snow and ice and improve your handling when drifting, visit the 30.000 square meters large Alpine Car-Winter-Fahranlage Pitztal. And those who have enough of the winter, can spend their time at one of the many climbing gyms, indoor tennis centres, museums or indoor pools of the region that are all open in winter.
